Encaustic Paintings

I created these four encaustic paintings with birds’ nests and encaustic paint. In this series, I want to capture the feeling of coziness and making a home in nature. The abandoned nests are works of art created by birds. I like the sensual quality of encaustic paint that creates a lush, textured surface that is glossy and has depth.
